Shayne Wright, General Manager Haulotte UK, comments on the Market
Shayne was appointed General Manager of Haulotte UK in April of this year. He leads a team of 25 sales and service personnel all dedicated to giving Haulotte customers a high level of service.
“We are seeing a decline in the UK access market of around 75% compared to last year. The large market share of the bigger rental companies who have been cautious about investing in new machines and the lower utilization rates in the market mean that most rental companies are not purchasing access equipment in big volumes. We see companies purchasing niche machines, such as our Star 10 Vertical Mast for specific projects. We have seen a small improvement since the beginning of July and expect to see an improvement in the remainder of 2009.
We are using this period, while machine sales are at a relatively low level, to invest time and money on the services we offer to our customers. Even in these difficult times we are always ready to support our customers with a high quality service.”
